Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the third-party company that provides that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its own results. Talladega County Court Docket does not keep or log those search terms on its servers.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained long enough to review and answer it. The message is kept within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation. Do not send private case documents or sensitive identifiers.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server may receive routine technical details about that visit:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring site, when one is reported
- Visited pages and approximate time spent on them
- Device type and operating system
- Browser name and version
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show which pages receive traffic and where visits tend to end. Analytics providers may combine that activity into broad performance reports. A browser can block or remove cookies, although some features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Sending a submitted search to the selected partner
- Diagnosing errors and other technical faults
- Measuring which reference pages are useful
- Maintaining reliable and responsive site service
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Talladega County Court Docket does not host, sell, maintain, or compile a database of personal court records. It publishes general directions to the Talladega County Circuit Clerk, trial courts, municipal clerks, and official statewide systems. Alabama Code §36-12-40 addresses access to public writings, while Alabama Rules of Judicial Administration 31 and 33 govern electronic court records and access. Those laws concern government-held records, not a visitor-data file kept here. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing rules apply to information entered there. This policy does not control a partner's systems, so review the provider's notice before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to clerk pages, Alabama court portals, case-search services, legal resources, and partner tools. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination's privacy policy governs. Review that policy before providing personal details.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads. Their tracking practices are outside this site's direct control.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold by this site. Limited information may be available to:
- Advertising networks that place or measure ads
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that process a query you submit
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards protect the limited data collected here. No internet service can promise perfect security, however, and this site cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor appears to have provided information, a deletion request may be submitted for review and prompt action.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with a visitor's place of residence and the law that applies. Alabama's court-record access provisions do not create a general right to edit official docket information through this private site. For information held here, a visitor may:
- Request deletion of data associated with the visitor
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request a copy of available personal data
- Opt out of processing where applicable law provides that choice
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as site practices or legal duties change. A revised version will appear here with a new effective date, so visitors may review the current terms at any time.
Effective date: August 13, 2026
